We're Under Contract!

Now what?

You just did everything right and we're now under contract!  Here's what we need to be doing from now until closing...

Two Weeks before Closing

Change Over Utilities

Please contact all utility and communication companies (gas, electric, water, waste management, sewer, internet, landline).


Please send your agent an email to confirm when this has been completed.

Change of Address

Please click here to visit the USPS site to ensure you have a mailing change of address in their system.

Prepare for Moving Day

What stays? Please double-check with your agent to confirm what items remain with the property per the contract.

Two Days before Closing

Final Settlement Disclosure

This document will be sent to me from the settlement attorney sometime within the last week prior to closing. Once received, we will review it for final approval prior to closing.

Condition of Property for Closing

You are to convey the property in "as-is or better condition".


Please also leave the property “broom swept”, unless it was negotiated to have the property professionally cleaned.

Final Walkthrough

Buyers and their agent will most likely conduct a final walkthrough of the property. This will occur sometime within 3 days of the final settlement.


This will be booked through ShowingTime.

Where to leave the keys?

Please leave all sets of keys and all garage door openers in the drawer to the right of the stove.


Please confirm with your agent the number of keys and garage door openers left in the drawer.


Bring Photo ID to Closing

If you are signing any documents at closing, do not forget to bring state-issued photo identification!

Confirm Wiring Instructions

Your real estate agent will NEVER send you wiring instructions.  If you receive an email regarding the transfer of funds, confirm over the phone using an independently verified phone number (such as through Google).  Do not rely on contact information contained within an email.
